AMED (Allied and Complementary Medicine Database) is a database of journal literature covering alternative and allied therapies and related subjects. It is produced by the British Library, and indexes around 500 journal titles.
It is updated monthly and its scope is international, including French, German, Turkish and Scandinavian material, some of which is unique to AMED. As it is a smaller database, we would recommend also searching CINAHL for allied health topics.
AMED is available to search via the ProQuest or Dialog interfaces to anyone with an NHS OpenAthens account.
