Christmas Card Making Kits

This festive season, the library service is offering free Christmas card making kits to Trust staff, students and volunteers. These kits have been put together with funds kindly provided by the SaTH Charity Small Things Make a Big Difference fund.

Crafting has been shown to have a positive effect on mental health and wellbeing. The kits contain blank cards with envelopes, blank gift tags and a selection of craft materials to allow you to create your own handmade cards to send to friends and family.

We have a limited number of kits to give out on a first come, first served basis.

Collect your kits from 9am on Monday 2nd December from either Shrewsbury or Telford Health Library – while stocks last!

Work off-site? Send us an email to sath.shrewsbury.library@nhs.net on Monday 2nd December with your name and work address and we will post a kit out to your work base.

Experience of Care Week

Experience of Care Week is an international initiative to celebrate the work that is happening across health and social care to keep improving experiences of care for patients, families, carers and staff.

Experience of Care Week runs from the 25th to the 29th April 2022, and to celebrate the library will have displays with posters, books and useful information available at both sites.

Our librarians have put together a guide with links to useful journal articles about patient experience which is available to download - Experience of care week materials or you can pick up a paper copy from the library.

World Book Night 23 April 2021

To celebrate World Book Night, Shrewsbury and Telford Health Libraries will be giving away free book gift bags on Friday 23rd April. Pop the date in your diary and remember to collect your book before they run out!

'Stories TStories To Make You Smile book covero Make You Smile' is a collection of feelgood stories guaranteed to put the smile back on your face written especially for World Book Night by ten bestselling novelists.

While you're counting down the days until World Book Night, why not have a go at our Guess the Smile quiz. Just for fun, there are no prizes, see if you can guess which smile belongs to which comedian.

We will have copies of the book available to collect from both Shrewsbury and Telford libraries on Friday 23rd April 2021, one book per person, while stocks last!
